Proflex Trade & Services was established in 1994, our company was specially setup to takeover the distributorship for the CITIZEN mini printers from the ex-company call Headway Distribution Pte Ltd which was established in 1984.
Our experience & history in the computer industries, started from GES Singapore Pte Ltd and beginning the pioneer to assist it's ex-company 'Headway Distribution Pte Ltd' in setting up it first distribution and service centre in Singapore at Martin Road to build its dealer base there. The company initially setup with one of the sole product 'Citizen computer & mini printers.'
In 1992,after my takeover for the full operation and the re-organisation in the company. The company had made it first project which was about 4.5 millions Singapore dollars for the colour matrix printers which the Singapore government had firstly implemented it to all the secondary schools. At that time it actually bring out the CITIZEN colour printers to be the pioneer that the schools is using it and a better image to the public.
The company had also participates in local exhibitions and launches several products to the market like World's smallest notebook printer, point of sale printers, point of sale systems & solutions, personal PC and multi-media…etc.
In 1994, Proflex Trade & Services has been appointed by Japan CBM Corporation as an Authorised Distributor for the Citizen mini printers, the company had takeover the distributorship from Headway Distribution Pte Ltd and continue to serve the existing clients, after Headway had decided to diversify to other trades. As for the computer printers, we assisted one of an Indonesia based company Electroland Pte Ltd in taking over the distributorship & established it's company here in Singapore during the period of handover.
Our Company was also appointed as the Authorized Distributor for the POLYTEL Touchpad Programmable keyboards by Polytel Computer Products Corp since 1996. Beside the above mention products we are marketing our inhouse OEM brand MEGAPOS. MEGAPOS software and products has been accepted & used in different environments like Salon, Boutique shop, Medical Hall, Stationery, Toys Collector shop & Hotel Gift shop.
The other major brands for POS & Computer products, which we market & trade, are PSB, Symbol, Welch Allyn, StealthTouch, Magnetec, Custom, Eltron, Calcomp, Hewlett Packard, Epson, Canon, QMS, Sony, Mitsubishi, Maxell …. Etc. We also represent our most of our overseas clients in sourcing for other products.
